Hipperholme Grammar School
Hipperholme Grammar School is based near Halifax and has around 330 pupils aged between 11 and 18. It has been on its present site since 1661 and became independent in 1985.
It recently went into partnership with the nearby Lightcliffe Preparatory School, which has 145 pupils aged 2 to 11, and both are now run by the Hipperholme Grammar Schools Foundation.
The school actively encourage all of its students whatever their discipline, be it academic, sporting or both, to make the most of what they have to offer and this is greatly helped by the low teacher to pupil ratio, meaning it can offer greater commitment by its staff.
